Terms of Service

Using Codeaton
Codeaton relays status information from software you control to devices you control. You are responsible for what your agents send, for keeping your API keys secret, and for making sure the content of the messages you emit is appropriate to display on a Lock Screen.
Your account
You need an account to use the service. Keep your credentials secure; activity under your account is your responsibility. You must be old enough to form a binding contract where you live.
Acceptable use
- Do not use Codeaton to transmit unlawful content, malware, or anyone else’s personal data without a lawful basis
- Do not attempt to access other users’ data, or to disrupt, overload or reverse-engineer the service
- Do not resell access to the service without written permission
Plans and billing
A free tier is available. Paid plans renew on the interval shown at checkout until cancelled. Purchases made through the App Store are billed by Apple and governed by Apple’s terms — including refunds, which Apple administers. You can cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
Availability
Codeaton is provided as-is, without warranty. It depends on third parties — including Apple’s push infrastructure — that we do not control, and delivery of a Live Activity update is not guaranteed. Do not rely on Codeaton as the only alerting path for anything safety-critical or financially material.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for any loss arising from a status update that was delayed, missed or wrong. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
Termination
You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend accounts that breach these terms, and will give notice where it is reasonable to do so.
Changes
We may update these terms; the date above will change when we do. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
