These are not the same product
Happy Coder is the most successful app in this category and it deserves the position. It is a genuine mobile client: your Claude Code and Codex sessions, end to end, on your phone, encrypted, with the ability to keep working while away from your laptop. Nearly a thousand ratings at 4.9 stars is not an accident.
Codeaton is not trying to be that, and it would be a worse product if it tried.
The difference in one sentence
Happy Coder is for working from your phone. Codeaton is for not having to.
A remote control assumes you want to be in the loop. A status layer assumes you want out of it, and only want to be pulled back in when something actually needs you. Both are legitimate; they are just aimed at different moments in the day.
